Had a good evening with Teck Ghee residents at our National Day dinner last night!
I spoke briefly on several topics from the National Day Rally. While the government is already providing substantial subsidies for education, we are making further improvements so that pre-school and tertiary education will become even more affordable. I also presented 80 Teck Ghee grassroots leaders with Long Service Awards. From organising events, volunteering, to conducting tuition, no effort is too small or too big for them. Their selfless and tireless contributions have much improved the lives of residents.
My thanks to the performers for entertaining all of us and also the volunteers for organising the dinner. Hope more residents will volunteer, to make Teck Ghee an active community and a better home! – LHL
